Chepstow during the Wars of the Roses. Full living history camp, showing military and civilian life. Artillery demonstrations twice each day: longbow and crossbow, as well as canons and hand guns. Arms and armour. Also cookery and craft demonstrations.

During the following week, three of us will be staying on to receive visiting school groups.

The 25th Annual Tewkesbury Festival. Extensive medieval market and entertainments. The highlight is the large-scale re-enactment of the battle of Tewkesbury (1471), in which we shall bring our guns to bear upon the enemies of our noble Lord!

Learn about life on campaign during the Wars of the Roses. Full living history encampment, with medieval cookery, crafts and pastimes, plusdemonstrations of 15th Century artillery: longbow, crossbow, arquebus, pole gun, and muzzle- and breech-loading cannon.

Our annual summer event at this beautiful medieval manorhouse. We recreate manorial life in the 15th Century: the family and their occupations, pastimes and food; their servants, tradesman and visitors. There will be archery and other games, and with the harvest coming in, lots of seasonal food!

Members assist with staffing this large annual fayre, which takes place within Ludlow Castle and the adjacent marketplace. Medieval crafts, music and entertainments, as well as 21st Century Christmas gifts.

Merrie Medieval Christmas

Building on our successful summer events, we welcome you to the manor at Christmas time. General festivity, with a full banquet on display, and the house dressed for Christmas. Learn about medieval food, watch as we prepare our Mummer's play, hunt the Cutty Wren and go wassailing in the orchard. Join in with singing, dancing and games.
